The unintended expat blogger behind Moss Bridge Way

Hello, I'm Anna

I work as a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Berlin, Germany.

A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter in life abroad.

How It Started

Moving to Germany wasn’t part of the grand plan. Like many relocation stories, it began as a job opportunity and ended up evolving into something much broader.

The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, changing expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complex than they ought to be.

The Adjustment Period

There was a culture shock, uncertainty, and lots of learning by doing. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt stable.

Why I Built Moss Bridge Way

Most online information was either corporate relocation advice or surface-level tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.

This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Germany.

What This Site Does (And Doesn't)

This site is:

  • Real-world experience from living in Germany
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated whenever there is a real change

This site is not:

  • Not a tourism authority resource
  • Not a paid review platform
  • Not a generic travel blog

Looking Forward

Our stay in Germany continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I will continue recording what we learn.

If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please get in touch.

Best regards,

Anna
